About PMI Calumet Chapter and our Territory
PMI Calumet Chapter is Northwest Indiana's professional project management non-profit association for knowledge, accreditation, mentoring, networking, development and practice. PMI Calumet is a chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and serves over 130 local members in the Northwest Indiana, Calumet Region.
PMI Calumet Chapter was chartered on July 2, 2003 and is located within PMI Region 2: North Central North America. The Calumet area territory is the Northwest corner of Indiana bordering Chicago and Cook County, IL on the west, and trending eastward in Lake / Porter and La Porte counties along the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore through La Porte, IN and south in to northern Newton / Jasper / Pulaski and Starke counties covering all the 463-464 zip codes. Cities and towns within the Calumet Chapter (Northwest Indiana) territory are: Hammond, Whiting East Chicago, Gary, Hobart, Lake Station, Chesterton, Burns Harbor, Porter, Portage, Miller, Beverly Shores, Pines, Michigan City, Long Beach, New Chicago, Munster, Highland, Griffith, Schererville, Merrillville, Crown Point, St. John, Cedar Lake, Lowell, Creston, Leroy, Hebron, Winfield, Lakes of the Four Seasons, Lake Dalecarlia, Lake Village, Roselawn, Demotte, Schneider, Shelby, South Haven, Boone Grove, Kouts, Westville, Wanatah, La Porte, and North Judson.
PMI Calumet Chapter services the following colleges and universities within the territory: Purdue University Northwest, Indiana University Northwest, Valparaiso University, Calumet College of St. Joseph, St. Francis University, DeVry University, Ivy Tech Community College, and Hyles-Anderson College.
